Many of them couldn't believe these items were meant to celebrate their hard work, participation, and dedication. Their excitement filled the room, and it instantly shifted the energy in our classroom. One of my students even said, \"Miss, this makes school feel fun!\" Moments like this remind me how meaningful your generosity truly is.\r\n\r\nWe are already using the resources in several ways:\r\n• Reward stations where students earn small treats or stickers for meeting academic and behavioral goals.\r\n• Participation tickets to exchange for a prize.\r\n• Class challenges where students work in teams to complete tasks and earn extra credit for the quarter. For this purpose, a colorful credit zone was ccreated; each color represents a team. The team that gets extra credit gets a star sticker and places it on the colorful board.\r\n\r\nThese rewards have inspired a noticeable increase in participation, focus, behavior, and positive interactions. Just last week, we began a literacy project where students read short passages and complete comprehension tasks. Because of the new incentives, students are working harder, helping me out to control their team, and encouraging one another to stay on task because it is significant for them.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my classroom has become a brighter, more encouraging learning space. Your donation gave my students not only tangible rewards, but also a deeper sense of motivation. They feel seen, valued, and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, our next step includes writing an essay, where students will demonstrate their writing skills and earn rewards as they complete each stage of their writing. I can already see how these incentives will keep them engaged and confident as they develop their skills.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in my students and in the power of creating a motivating classroom. Your generosity is shaping their daily experiences in ways that truly matter.","fullyFundedDate":1758252325832,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-motivating-learning-space-wit/9720399/","projectTitle":"Creating a Motivating Learning Space with Rewards and Incentives","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barrera","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9929625_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764286292789","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9929625"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_67794","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":555,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":94,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":57.8,"schoolId":67794,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Morris K Udall Middle School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Morris K Udall Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/isaac-school-district-5/morris-udall-elementary-school/67794"}
