Through hands-on coding and problem-solving activities, students are introduced to the concept of designing and programming a robot to complete specific tasks, which mirrors the process of innovation and production in the real world. They begin to see how robotics ties into economics—understanding costs, efficiency, and the value of technology in different industries—while also exploring future career possibilities in fields like engineering, programming, and automation. Marty makes these abstract concepts more concrete and exciting, showing students how creativity and technology combine to solve problems in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nWhat excites the students most about Marty is the sense of ownership and creativity they experience when programming the robot to move, dance, or complete challenges they design. The ability to see their code come to life in real time makes learning feel less like work and more like play, sparking curiosity and innovation. Students also enjoy personalizing Marty's actions and imagining how similar robots could be used in careers ranging from healthcare to manufacturing. This excitement not only engages them in the present, but also inspires them to dream about how they might one day contribute to the rapidly growing world of robotics and technology-driven careers.
