The filter provided exceptionally clear and focused images of the sun, allowing us to observe sunspots in stunning detail. Although solar activity was low, and we did not witness any solar flares or coronal mass ejections, the visibility of sunspots was remarkable.\r\n\r\nDuring our observations, we compared images of the sun taken at 10:30 am and 2:00 pm using the Vaonis Vespera solar filter. This comparison revealed a noticeable shift in sunspots, demonstrating the sun's rotation. Our students were fascinated by this real-time evidence of solar dynamics.\r\n\r\nThe opportunity to safely view the sun on a tablet's screen was a highlight for our students. It made astronomy more personal and engaging, allowing them to connect with the subject in a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nThank you for providing this invaluable opportunity for our students. Your support has made a significant impact on their learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1734457463319,"projectUrl":"project/getting-brighter-with-solar-observations/8724836/","projectTitle":"Getting Brighter With Solar Observations","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jordan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9241909_orig.jpg?crop=448,448,x0,y2&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693579518249","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9241909"},{"teacherId":9632869,"projectId":8575946,"letterContent":"On behalf of my students and myself, I want to extend my sincerest gratitude for your generous donation to our English Language Arts classroom at Fountain Ft.
