The filament for the 3D printers was popular because students could print their projects. The students enjoyed assembling them and learned about the space shuttle program. Many students were unaware that there was a plane that transported the space shuttles. Students don't know how large the space shuttles are, let alone the plane that transported them, but this model gives them an idea. I have seen both in person, and I wish that I could take every student to see them in person. They were excited and couldn't wait to start building the LEGOs. These LEGO sets had a lot of pieces, so it took students a while to complete the sets. Both the students and I were surprised at the size of the SLS system. The SLS and Milky Way Galaxy have been excellent additions to my space collection. Students were more interested when talking about the Artemis and Apollo missions (I already have the LEGO Saturn V rocket). Students thought it was very cool that the Milky Way set glowed under a blacklight and that our location in the galaxy glows in the dark.\r\n\r\nThis project was a huge success.
