The students have successfully created and maintained a classroom drink business. The students went through the entire design cycle when starting their business. They began by brainstorming and coming up with a name and logo. They decided to name the business The Wolf Cave Cafe. They created four leading teams for the company. There is a production team whose job is to keep inventory up to date and to let the team know when some items are running low. There is a leadership team overseeing all teams, creating templates for invoices and the menu, and making changes whenever needed.\r\nWe have a marketing team that is creating flyers and weekly emails for staff. They have also created commercials to send out. They hang up flyers and distribute them in teacher mailboxes. There is a money team that counts money and creates spreadsheets to track profit. These jobs change each quarter so that all students will experience each team. The entire class is out selling the business to their teachers to increase orders. They have created drink specials and incentives for the students who receive the orders. The students then take the orders, fill them on Tuesdays, and deliver them to teachers on Wednesday morning. This is a highlight of the week. The students are excited to continue growing the business by adding baked goods next semester.
