Students were able to have the materials necessary to access their accommodations. They were able to have a calm, quiet area to concentrate on their test. All students were able to use headphones as to not disturb the rest of the group, and still be able to hear the instructions on their tests. Students were also able to chose from paper and fancy pencils and erasers or white boards and dry erase markers to use for computing math problems. \r\n\r\nMy students were very excited to use the materials you donated. Together, they came up with rotating list for who got to sit near the calming lava lamp! That was definitely their favorite part. Some were even disappointed when testing was over! But, they were also excited to receive a little incentive when they did finish their test. They left feeling accomplished and proud.\r\n\r\nYour donations really motivated my students to do their best on state testing. The Lego cases are so beneficial because they allow easy access to students. I place one case in each desk so that when students are using Legos for projects or for play they can easily get them without even having to leave their seats. This has reduced so much time, clean up, and movement around the room. Our most recent project was building a bridge for the \"Three Billy Goats Gruff\" to cross. \r\nThe headphones have benefited greatly as well. There are enough for each student to have one. Most students do not have access to headphones of their own. So they are extremely grateful for the headphones you have provided. Using these headphones has reduced noise in our room and allowed students to focus more on their coding and computer projects. \r\nI have seen such an improvement in our classroom since receiving the clear cases and headphones. Their tables are free from clutter and provide more work space.\r\nThe paper bags have also been very useful, especially for math centers where the students are working with groups of pattern blocks to learn how to add.
