The drumsticks and glow-up drumsticks are a huge hit and allow students to learn to read rhythms and music in an exciting and fun way. Students enjoy exploring drumming patterns in the dark and work in groups to make beautiful music with these materials. In addition to the joy this has brought to the classroom, students have been able to use these drumsticks in performances for their families and community. The hand drums have also been able to help the younger students learn proper drumming technique and provides them exciting opportunities to explore rhythmic reading elements. Young students love to drum up the fun in music class!\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the playground balls provided give students an opportunity to learn about rhythm and form (and other musical elements) in an INNOVATIVE way. We are able to listen to songs from a variety of cultures and genres and use the equipment to respond to musical elements to engage the interests of all the students in my classroom.
