My students were so excited to see the variety of paints, paintbrushes, and canvases. After they researched a chosen pollinator they were able to be creative and paint an inspirational painting based off what they learned and heard from other students presenting their pollinator research. \r\nThe disposable aprons worked so well to protect their clothing from the acrylic paints. The canvases purchased were different sizes and shapes that allowed students to choose to paint on a small canvas or a slightly larger one. Some students wanted to do multiple paintings. The project lasted over 2 weeks, and some were really engaged and wanted to take their time with their art. At the end, the art was displayed so other students in other classes could see and do a gallery walk to appreciate the variety of art. It was a great way to incorporate science and art!
