This project has impacted students' learning positively. Thanks to the donated items we have enough materials for each student to have as their own. Some of the items that were donated were crayons and markers. With these donated items students created a drawing titled happy or sad where they used the crayons and markers that were donated to create their own colorful drawing. Donors choose also donated expo markers and dry erasers with these items' pre-k students are practicing to write and spell their name ensuring that they will be writing their name upon entering kindergarten next year. The students love sitting on the carpet for an art lesson and their attention during class has improved tenfold. \r\n\r\nOur carpet has taught them all the different colors and how to say each color in English and Spanish. I have a lot of Spanish speaking children so they love how they can share their language with the class. \r\n\r\nThe carpet is big enough to fit a full class of students and they love when we have carpet learning time.
