Many of the supplies we received were used in several projects, including \"What's The Matter with Disasters\", \"CSI Expert\", and \"The Great Debate\". The students were able to create amazing inventions to help solve a problem caused by a natural disaster in the Disaster project, solve a mock crime and complete labs in a simulated crime scene, and complete a trial of King George III with period costumes!\r\n\r\nWhen we received the materials, the students were excited to have such a big variety of supplies to choose from to support their projects. They loved being able to pick from materials to make their projects as realistic as possible. Having a big variety allowed them to really showcase their creativity in a way that they couldn't before.\r\n\r\nWe still have materials that can be used for future projects, and I know they will be able to use these materials creatively as well! This project gave me the resources I needed to give a special graduation gift to my 5th grade gifted students at the end of last school year. This group was a very special class who grew so much socially, emotionally, and intellectually, and it was a blessing to be able to give them something to celebrate the end of their elementary years in my class.\r\n\r\nEach student received a water bottle that I was able to put their initial on with vinyl in their favorite color. I also gave them their favorite candies and special stickers for things they enjoy, as well as pencils and erasers. The students really loved their water bottles and treats and were excited to see it had been personalized just for them. I even saw a few of them at the beginning of this school year- they came to visit me at Open House, and they either had their water bottle with them or told me how much they used it. And not just toys but toys designed for learning, for real growth. \r\n It was such a pleasure to see their increased attention. The workmanship of these materials makes such a big difference. They do not always have access to new and stimulating objects.\r\nThough each student was different, attention and independent play was evident. \r\nParts were designed for young hands causing easier grasp. We truly appreciate the dedication you have shown to education and to science. The students have really enjoyed the science materials we have received to use in our Crime Scene Investigation class.
