Because of your donation, we were able to subscribe to Junior Scholastic Magazine, and it has truly transformed our classroom experience. Each month, my students eagerly await the new issue, excited to explore articles that span history, geography, and current events. It's been a joy to watch their curiosity grow and their engagement deepen.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students—especially those who struggle with reading—the magazine's text-to-speech feature has been a powerful tool. It's heartwarming to see them actively participating and finding joy in reading. Every student connects with something in the magazine, making it an inclusive and inspiring resource that fosters confidence and a love of learning.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I'm also incredibly grateful for the rich teaching materials that accompany each issue. The lesson plans, videos, and slideshows have helped me create more dynamic discussions and support my students in building stronger reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. Your generosity has made all of this possible, and I can't thank you enough.","fullyFundedDate":1746787053450,"projectUrl":"project/keep-our-readers-reading/9250738/","projectTitle":"Keep Our Readers Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McClafferty","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9729468"},{"teacherId":9741930,"projectId":9211773,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity, and all you have done to put this wonderful novel in the hands of my students at East Middle School. I truly appreciate it! Touching Spirit Bear is such a great book for so many reasons. We learned about the author, who currently resides in Bozeman, MT. The content has alot of issues that the students are currently dealing with and can relate to. It has been a great way to start the school with Touching Spirit Bear as our first novel. After learning about the author and the setting, we began reading in the classroom using study guides to help with our classroom discussions. We learned about and designed Totem Poles to display around the school.","fullyFundedDate":1743820436841,"projectUrl":"project/keep-these-readers-reading/9211773/","projectTitle":"Keep These Readers Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McLaughlin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9741930"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78716","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":658,"numTeachers":43,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":78716,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about East Middle School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"East Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/butte-school-district-1/east-middle-school/78716"}
