The calm atmosphere promotes a productive approach to having big feelings. My little learners have been practicing breathing techniques to help them think before acting. \r\n\r\nEach learner uses their yoga mats for stretching, meditating, and creating their own space though using their mat as a personal boundary. The soft play large blocks allow students to express themselves safely when calming moments are needed. \r\n\r\nMy scholars were thrilled to see the new materials in their sensory room. I was immediately able to begin teaching them the purpose of the materials and saw the benefits right away. We practiced deep breathing in day one, and now the dissects can generalize what they've learned into other settings. \r\n\r\nGoing forward, we will using the items to explore more relaxation techniques.
