The new headphones have already transformed our testing and learning environment by helping students stay focused and confident during assessments. We also put the skin-tone craft paper to immediate use during a recent identity-art project, where students created self-portraits that reflected their unique features. Watching them choose the shade that best matched their skin and proudly share their artwork with classmates was a beautiful moment of joy, belonging, and self-expression.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the materials, their excitement was undeniable. They were eager to try on the headphones, explore the new craft supplies, and—most of all—take their seats on the new stack stools. The stools have quickly become one of their favorite additions to our classroom; they make small-group work smoother, more organized, and much more enjoyable. The students love how the stools give our classroom a \"big kid\" feel, and they are now asking to use them during reading groups, interventions, and collaborative activities.\r\n\r\nThese resources will continue to support meaningful learning as we move forward with our current lessons and projects. Next, our class will be using the headphones for listening comprehension tasks and bilingual reading programs, allowing students to practice at their own pace. We will also be incorporating more art and identity-based activities using the craft paper to help students celebrate who they are while strengthening language and writing skills. Thank you for giving our students the tools to feel seen, supported, and excited to learn every day. Your generosity has truly made a lasting impact in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1757208543662,"projectUrl":"project/we-need-headphones-and-art-supplies-for/9374402/","projectTitle":"We Need Headphones and Art Supplies for our Students.","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Palacios","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5724881_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1536900648600","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5724881"},{"teacherId":10190528,"projectId":9625968,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom project! My kindergarteners have been loving the new materials, and they have already made a huge impact on our daily learning. Our easel has become the heart of our mini-lessons. We use it during phonics, math, writing, and read-alouds, and it has completely changed the way my students participate. They love coming up to the easel to circle letters, solve math problems, help build words, or act as the \"teacher helper.\" It has made our lessons more interactive and engaging, and the kids feel so proud when they get to share their thinking with the class.\r\n\r\nOne of the most special additions has been our Koala for breathing exercises. After recess, my students come in full of energy, and using the Koala has helped them learn how to reset and take calming breaths before starting work again. We also keep it in our calm-down corner for students who need a moment to regulate their emotions. They gravitate toward it on their own, and it has helped create a peaceful and safe environment where they can relax and feel ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWe have also been using the acrylic paint, brushes, and art paper for seasonal art projects connected to what we are learning. Recently, we painted beautiful fall trees while learning about the seasons, and the kids were so excited to use \"real artist paint.\" They were so proud of their artwork and couldn't wait to take it home. These materials will continue to support future projects in science, social studies, and writing as we explore new topics. Thank you for giving my students the tools to learn creatively, regulate their emotions, and stay engaged.
